Today we visited Foix and its beautiful chateau which dates back to the 11th century. However, the majority of the chateau was built during the Middle Ages. Everyone had a chance to tour the chateau and climb up at least one of the towers for an amazing view of the Pyrénées Mountains to ethe south.
From Toulouse we took the train and the ride was just over an hour. After the chateau visit, we stopped for a pause café in Foix so we could try to local dessert: Une croustade. It's similar to a thin sliced pie. Délicieux!
